The Beauty Within: Healing Through Creativity
NAMI is organizing an exhibition of art created by mental health peers, or persons with lived mental health experiences, to be shown before and after the performance and also at the gallery at the 17th Avenue Studios. We are delighted to have the beautiful white walls gallery space donated for this event by Ronna Schulkin, the gallery director.

Gallery Exhibit Hours:
Friday, April 20th from 5pm to 8pm – Opening Reception
Saturday, April 21st from 11am to 4pm
Sunday, April 22nd from 12 noon to 6pm
Saturday, April 28th from 11am to 4pm
Sunday, April 29th from 12 noon to 4pm – Closing Reception from 2 to 4pm
Volunteers are needed to host during the open gallery hours. Please click here to sign up.
Art Wanted:
If you are a 2-D or 3-D visual artist please consider exhibiting your art in this show. Anyone who has lived with a mental illness or has a lived mental health experience as a family member or loved one is eligible to show their art. We welcome all contributions to this meaningful exhibit and will try to accommodate as much art as space allows at the 17th Avenue Gallery. The entire sale price of art sold will go to the artist. It is preferred that art be framed or wired for hanging. Unframed work may be pinned to the wall with push pins. Some items will also be taken to the concert event.
DROP OFF DATES for the art at 17th Avenue: Thursday, April 12th: 1pm to 3pm and Friday, April 13: 2pm to 6pm.
